FAQ

What is this VAG tensioner wrench used for?

It is used to rotate and adjust compatible timing belt tensioner pulleys during timing belt replacement and related engine repair work.

Why does the wrench have five adjustable positions?

The five-position head allows the handle angle to be changed, improving access to tensioner pulleys in confined engine compartments.

Which vehicles can this tool be used on?

It is intended for selected Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and Škoda applications that require a tensioner wrench corresponding to reference T10020 or V159.

What are the pin dimensions?

The wrench has two 3 mm pins with 18 mm between the pin centres.

How is the wrench position adjusted?

A 4 mm hex key is required to adjust and secure the wrench head in the selected position.

Is this an original Volkswagen or Audi tool?

No. It is an aftermarket service tool designed with reference to T10020 and V159 for compatibility identification.

How should compatibility be confirmed?

Check the vehicle repair manual, engine application, required service-tool number and tensioner pulley dimensions before ordering or using the tool.
